Neal Learner, has been a violin, voice instructor for numerous years.  Neal was introduced to his love of music as a child, and  learned to play violin, piano, guitar, bass, as well as voice.  Originally; a Violin Performance Major at the University of  Michigan’s School of Music, Neal became a member of the Michigans Men’s Glee Club and sang bass in the popular a cappella octet, The Friars. While a young man, Neal supported himself busking in the streets of  Paris.  Throughout, Neal's life he always enjoyed writing songs, and found a niche.  In 2011, Neal self produced a children’s cd called "Would You Like to Be a Mermaid?"  In 2017, Neal produced his sung-through musical, LIFE: A Comic Opera in Three Short Acts, at the 2017 D.C Capital Fringe Festival.  Neal finds teaching to be a enjoyable part of his life.

Neal’s life has so far been fascinating, from living in Japan teaching English, to back packing around Asia and Europe in his 20’s; where he met his wife.  When Neal is not teaching, he can be found, writing, spending time with his wife, Montse, two daughters, Nadia and Nina, and be seen here in Alexandria.
