DR OLIVIA NEEDHAM

Dr Olivia Need  joined Del Ray School of Music in 2011, prior to her appointment Del Ray School of Music she taught music at George Mason University Potomac Arts Academy, Department of Defense Child & Youth Services, University of Kansas, Camron University, Korea University  Summer Music Festival, and at numerous performing arts schools both nationally and internationally 

She teaches general musical at Hollin Springs iElementary School in Alexandria Virginia.

Dr Needham debuted as solo violinist with the Seoul Junior Ensemble Orchestra at the age of eighteen. Following her debut, she appeared in recitals in Arkansas, Michigan, Minnesota, and Oklahoma, as well as performing internationally in Australia, Fiji, Korea, New Zealand, Philippines, and Thailand. She has served as concertmaster of numerous orchestras, and has performed as a member of Endless Mountain Music Festival Orchestra, Valley Symphony Orchestra, Lawton Philharmonic Orchestra, Fort Smith Symphony, Chung-Ju City Symphony and Kwa-Chun City Symphony.

 

A native of Seoul, Korea Dr Needham received a bachelor's degree from Dankook University, Masters degree from the University of Oklahoma, and a doctorate degree from the university of Kansas.
