ONE WEEKEND TO RULE THEM ALL! This three day camp will focus on the most fun you can have with an instrument - Improvisation! Although daunting at first, we will break down how to improvise a solo into easy bite size chunks. It's never too early or too late, to make stuff up on your instrument :) Learn to release all your feelings into the music, and tell your own story. We will play songs from multiple genres including Latin, Funk, Swing, and of course Jazz and Blues. If you have never played jazz music before and have never improvised a solo - that's OK! This is the perfect friendly environment to discover skills you never knew you had, and learn a few new ones. Other topics include jazz history, music theory, practice techniques, the piano, and how to get a tight band sound. See you there!
